Our 4 day Vienna trip will include:

entrances to these two stellar exhibitions:

Caravaggio & Bernini The groundbreaking achievements of these two artists are the focal point of the exhibition, underscored by selected artworks by contemporaries including  Poussin, Orazio Gentileschi, Algardi and Vouet. Some 60 key works, featuring paintings and sculptures alike, will showcase the revolutionary and innovative art of the early C17th: fascinating works packed with drama, intense passion, a strong dynamic, and a theatricality filled with vibrant colours.

Albrecht Durer The Albertina Museum is home to the world’s most important collection of drawings by Albrecht Dürer, of which it holds nearly 140. And in this exhibition, which will be rounded out by international loan works, the central focus will be on his drawn oeuvre – which will show itself to be an artistic achievement at least equal to that of his paintings and printed graphic work.

Also Vienna's other artistic highlights including:

a tour of the rest of the Kunsthistorisches Museum’s fabulous collection (Titian, Rubens, Holbein, Van Dyck, Vermeer, Rembrandt etc.); and visits to the Upper Belvedere (Klimt’s ‘The Kiss’), the Leopold Museum (for Egon Schiele and other modern masters), the Karlskirche, and the newly-restored Secession building.

There will also be a day trip to Bratislava (train travel included) with the opportunity to visit the world-renowned Biennial of the best illustrations of children's books from all over the world.
