Naples is legendary for its character, history, art, and gastronomy. Avoid the summer crowds and explore the city’s opulent palaces, UNESCO-listed streets,, world-class museums, and local traditions, against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Two full days of visits in Naples will include: Naples National Archaeological Museum – one of the world's most prestigious collections of Greco-Roman antiquities, including the treasures of Pompeii and Herculaneum; Capodimonte Museum & Royal Palace – with masterpieces by Caravaggio, Titian, and Raphael in a former Bourbon palace; the famous 'Veiled Christ' in the Sansevero Chapel; and we will have a day long guided visit with an archaeologist to Pompeii and Herculaneum (travel by train, fare not included)
