terms and conditions

We offer art history lectures and discussions across a range of subjects, durations, and locations. Please note: participants are responsible for choosing, organising, and paying for their own travel, accommodation, meals, and insurance.

Tour fees include: full days of lecturing and guided visits, all entrances to galleries, museums, churches etc.; tips for specialist local guides and artisans. Occasionally travel between locations is necessary and introductions to local public or private transfers are offered.

Typical tour group size: 10 - 16 per guide; 6 for NYC; 7-9 Umbria

Our promise  
We will always act with fairness and integrity and do the best that we can to resolve any problems or difficulties

We ask
That you: ensure the course content, location, and mobility requirements are suitable for you

                read any correspondence we send about your tour, particularly if visas are required
                take out adequate travel insurance to cover medical treatment, repatriation, lost property and cancellation charges 
                have a valid passport for six months beyond the end of the tour. (Where visas are required, we will advise).

                provide us with up-to-date mobile contact number.

You may also wish to give us details of the person you would like us to contact in an emergency.

Any costs you incur will need to be claimed on your travel insurance.

If we need to change the dates, we will let you know as soon as possible. We will offer a full refund if the new dates no longer suit.
We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to the itinerary based on local circumstances.

If you have to cancel your participation in a tour for health reasons or other emergencies, please let us know as soon as possible in writing (e.g. email). 
All tours must be paid in full at the time of booking. 

Should you cancel:

- up to 60 days before we will refund you in full

- between 59 and 43 days: we will refund you 50% of the total cost of the trip.
- between 42 and 15 days: we will refund you 40% of the total cost of the trip
- between 14 days and 7 days: we will refund you 20% of the total cost of the trip
- 7 days before to the day of the trip: we would not refund you. (This should be covered by your insurance and of course we will provide your insurance company with any documentation you need).


At discretion, we will transfer your fee to a future trip or as credit.
