Umbria is the green heart of Italy and still much less discovered than its neighbour Tuscany.  But it is rich in history, culture, wine, and truffles with some stunning landscapes. We will visit Perugia and Assisi, both very walkable and museums like the  Galleria Nazionale with works by Piero della Francesca, Perugino, Pintoricchio;
the Raphael/Perugino fresco in Perugia; and Giotto (attributed) world-famous frescoes in St Francis's basilica in Assisi.
